- In a bowl mix sugar and margarine then with a wooden spoon,mix together until smooth.
- Add cardamon and flour leaving out some. Then with your fingers rub together.At this stage you add 3tbs of oil.

- Add milk bit by bit and kneed your dough.this is the time you add some flour to get to your consistency. The dough should be soft but not so soft.
- Put some oil in a bowl and put your dough and let it rest for sometime. I left mine for 2hrs covered.
- Then on your work area put some flour, take a portion of the dough and roll it out and cut it to your desired shape. You can use a knife, i used a feeding bottle to get the round shapes. Continue until you finish your dough.
- Meanwhile heat oil when hot deep fry your mandazis until you get that beautiful brown colour.
