Drumstick curry instructions

  1. Wash and pressure cook the toor dal along with water for 3/4 whistles..
  2. Cool down and keep aside..
  3. Grind ginger garlic coconut to a smooth paste..
  4. Meanwhile cut drumsticks into lengthwise, remove it's skin & boil along with water & pinch of salt. Do not over cook..
  5. Heat 2 tsp of oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, cummin seeds and let them crackle..
  6. Add asafoetida, turmeric powder, curry leaves, grind paste & kanda lasun masala. Saute for a minute..
  7. Add cooked dal, mix well..
  8. Add water as per consistency of dal. It should not be too thick or thin..
  9. When it's boil add kokum, jaggery, salt & boiled drumsticks..
  10. Cook for 5 minutes..
  11. Serve with hot steam rice..
